Focusing on weight loss screws up your nutrition
There are many reasons that focusing on weight loss is problematic. One of these has to do with how it skews our natural eating abilities. Intentional weight loss tends to cloud your judgment when it comes to food and nutrition. Most people whose ultimate goal is to manipulate their weight or size will ignore the body's signals of hunger and fullness, desire, appetite, and override them by following diet rules. Over time this further disconnects us from those intuitive eating skills we are all born with.
For eating to be truly healthy [for you], truly life-giving [for you], it can't be focused on restriction and stopping short of enough.
